Enrichment Program - Parents

The GLEC Multicultural Enrichment Partnership has served communities of Lawrence, Andover, North Andover and Methuen with a variety of enrichment programs since 1985. Our programs value and develop the unique strengths, talents and contributions of each individual across racial, ethnic, geographical and social divisions. We believe that these programs can build cross cultural understanding and help to teach kids how to be successful in the challenges of living in the twenty-first century.

We work closely with our principals and teachers to design programs which reinforce the academic goals of our school districts, build teamwork and multicultural understanding, and motivate students of all backgrounds to higher academic achievement.

On these pages, you can learn more about our programs and how your school and your children might benefit.

On the participants page you can see the participating schools. On the students and teachers pages you can see how students and teachers become involved in these programs.

If your child is published in one of our magazines, participating in the Academic Bowl, Pen Pals program, Visual Arts Awards, or another activity we run, we hope you learn more about us and lend your time and support as you are able. About half of our funding comes directly from the participating school districts. The rest must be raised from grants and donations. Please see the ways to help page for more information on our needs and the opportunities for parents to play a role in keeping these programs successful.
