45-Day PIVOT Assessment

PIVOT is a short-term diagnostic assessment program (45-days) for “at-risk” middle and high school aged students. The program provides students with academic support, counseling, and a battery of assessment options to help determine educational and therapeutic needs. Assessments administered during the PIVOT program include:

Consultation Services

CAS currently employs two staff members who are available to consult directly to districts and help develop plans to address behavior problems in the classroom, conduct Functional Behavior Assessments, and help with alternative education program design. Consultation to public schools is provided per the request of the Director of Special Education or a designee for that school district.

CAS Suspension Alternative Program

Suspension alternative provides temporary support services and counseling to students who must be excluded from their school community

Summer Rules Program

The Summer Rules Program is a non-traditional, six-week experiential learning program. It was devised to aid students who struggle in the traditional classroom setting and help them learn through hands-on experience. Students are challenged academically, physically and emotionally as they visit various New England attractions, historical sites and parks.
